Ben Nevis Climb

As part of our continued support for Patients, Carers and Health Care Professionals, ConvaTec are running a two day event in Fort William and Glasgow. This will include a climb of Britain's highest peak [Ben Nevis], by a cross section of people, including The Great Comebacks™ Global Ambassador, Rob Hill, along with previous winners, ConvaTec HCPs, and ConvaTec Staff.

Our commitment to Ostomy care extends to all those affected by their Ostomy, and we are keen for patients to continue to access the right product, service and advice after their surgery. The round-table discussion on the Tuesday will focus on the need for patients to easily access information and services when they return home; this may be from their SCN, pharmacist, Dispensing Appliance Contractor or Community Nurse.

We will generate a consensus document on the delivery of service and information to patients, that will focus on the full cross section of carers that interact with a Stoma Care Patient.

The Ben Nevis climb on Monday 22nd, will involve the full cross section of ConvaTec staff, from scientist, to manufacturing, marketing, home delivery and ConvaTec nurses. This not only shows a commitment to the full process, but also our investment in people and infrastructure. ConvaTec Deeside employ over 1,000 people in North Wales, focused on the Global manufacture of Stoma supplies, creating more than 2 million pouches per week.
