Great Comebacks™ Program
The Great Comebacks™ Program began in 1984
under the leadership of Rolf Benirschke, with support from
ConvaTec.
It was designed to raise awareness of quality-of-life
issues for people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease
(a collective term for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative
colitis), colorectal cancer or an ostomy. Today the Great
Comebacks community has spread far beyond its original borders,
raising awareness around the globe through inspirational
individuals who have chosen to share their stories and offer
hope to others facing surgery or the daily challenges of
intestinal diseases.
