Team Great Comebacks® came out in force to support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation’s Team Challenge program, which raises funds for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis research, at the Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon on July 19th.
In total, the 16 team members raised nearly $100,000!
Rolf, along with wife Mary (who clocked our fastest time), 2008 Great Comebacks® East Region award recipient Patrick McKinney, 2008 Great Comebacks® National Award recipient Lisa Becker, additional participants from Ostomysecrets™ , Lisa’s undergarment line designed for people with an ostomy, and colleagues from ConvaTec, all took part in the event. At the pre-event pasta dinner, CCFA also gave special recognition to Rolf by naming a research scholarship endowment in his honor.
Still ahead this year for Team Great Comebacks® is the Rock ‘n Roll Las Vegas Half Marathon on December 6th, which will start and finish on the Las Vegas strip. The CCFA is looking forward to another strong turnout, and whether you run or walk, it’s a fun and rewarding experience for all.
