Help Support WOCN Cycling for Scholarships
03/9/2011 flag

As the U.S. population ages, preparing for the next generation of WOC nurses has never been more important. On March 4th, Dr. Katherine Jeter, retired 72-year-old champion of WOC Nursing, embarked on her cross country bicycle tour to heighten awareness and raise support for the WOCN Society Foundation Scholarship Fund.

Starting out with her rear tire dipped in the Pacific surf of San Diego, CA, Dr. Jeter is aiming to cover the 3,100 mile journey in 8 weeks and finish up in St Augustine, FL by the end of April.

Great Comebacks® sponsor ConvaTec is proud to be supporting her journey, every pedal of the way, and helping draw attention to the great work WOC nurses do everyday!

In addition to information on the Foundation website at at www.wocnfoundation.org, you can also follow Dr. Jeter’s progress as she makes her way across the country from through April 29 on facebook, at http://www.facebook.com/WOCNCycling , and her trip blogspot.
